Immersion Active

In Jonathan’s early experience with interactive design, he noticed that an engaging user experience was consistently missing from online marketing materials. He co-founded Immersion Active in 1998 to change that. Jonathan has since lead the agency to solely focus on the baby boomer and senior markets – two audiences often disenfranchised by more traditional online marketing.  

Due to Jonathan’s creative and strategic direction, Immersion Active’s developmental approach to interactive marketing is put into action by creating sophisticated and engaging experiences for older consumers. He ensures that all of Immersion Active’s campaigns yield meaningful and measurable results through attractive and effective architecture, design, and execution.

In the fall of 2008, Jonathan, along with Immersion Active partner David Weigelt, will release his first book on how to effectively engage baby boomers online through a developmental relationship marketing approach.

Always drawn to creative design, Jonathan studied art and design at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College), where he now teaches web design as an adjunct professor. Prior to Immersion Active, Jonathan was the art director for Morningstar Design, acquiring frontline user experience that could be infused into design for more identifiable commercial results. Jonathan also participates in numerous collegiate portfolio reviews throughout the year, and is passionate about the professional and artistic development of younger Immersion Active staff members.
