Vice President Scotch and Irish Whiskey Marketing

Diageo North America

Bill is currently the Vice President of Marketing for Diageo's Scotch and Irish Whiskey portfolio in the U.S.  As such, he leads the category strategies for Scotch and Irish Whiskey and the specific marketing efforts for the #1 Scotch brand in the U.S., Johnnie Walker, as well as the #2 Irish Whiskey brand, Bushmills.  Since taking over the Johnnie Walker brand in 2006, he has led the brand in a variety of key initiatives including bringing its advertising message onto television for the first time, sponsoring world top 10 golfer Jim Furyk, expanding the brand's relationship marketing efforts (the Striding Man Society) and mentor program (the Journey), and spearheading a variety of efforts to grow Johnnie Walker's ultra-luxury marques of Gold Label and Blue Label.

Prior to his roles in brand marketing for Diageo, Bill was Group Director of Innovation for Diageo, where he led a variety of innovation projects and new product launches across various brands including Smirnoff and Guinness.  Before this, Bill was Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Diageo North America, building off his career prior to Diageo where he worked for the consulting firm Booz Allen & Hamilton for nearly 10 years, focusing on consumer packaged goods strategy.  Bill holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University.
