Nadine McHugh

Manging Partner, Managing Director – U.S. Accounts

MindShare

Veteran strategic planner and manager Nadine McHugh has spent the majority of her career at WPP companies; first at Ogilvy & Mather, and later at MindShare, which she joined when the company’s U.S. operation was established in late 2000.

Nadine played a key role in MindShare’s win of its first U.S. account –the consolidation of the Unilever business.  She has since worked her way up the ranks and now focuses on growing MindShare’s strategic partnerships with domestic clients such as Unilever, Sprint, Bristol Meyers and Ameriprise, among others. She also manages operations for the New York office. Previously, Nadine managed the Unilever business in both New York and Chicago, which includes brands like Dove, Lipton, Sunsilk, Hellmann’s, Pond’s and Vaseline. Nadine also sits on the MindShare Global Unilever executive committee, where best practices and key initiatives are developed globally. She was named a 2008 “Advertising Working Mother of the Year” by the Advertising Women of New York, a recognition that honors the most successful working mothers in advertising and media, while in 2006, she was named one of Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch,” a distinction that illustrated her growing reputation and stature in national marketing and media.

Nadine is committed to training and raising the bar on communication planning.  She is the Director of the M Academy, GroupM’s U.S. training program. As part of that commitment, she has created and directed several of MindShare’s North American media workshops.

Nadine began her career at the former New York ad agency Laurence, Charles Free and Lawson and also worked at the former Wells Rich Greene.  Throughout her career she has worked on packaged good accounts including Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Kraft, and Dial.  She has also worked prestige brands such as Ralph Lauren, Warnaco, Ungaro, and American Express.
